Had a great community event yesterday for the opening of the Hoad Monument in Ulverston in Cumbria. Lots of coverage on Granada Reports on ITV3 f you check it out online. As everybody knows, people who live in Rocinha are usually tackling very hard conditions to survive.

Viramundo and our Visible Voices troupe in the favela are trying to help giving voice to them so that they can present their demands before the authorities.

Through a sort of ‘citizen journalism’, since we began the Visible Voices initiatives in Rocinha we have mobilised the local community using videos and pictures ad hoc.
